Report from  Nicole Worbis (X)
People-wise the first Powwow in Stuttgart was rather disappointing. Not only Irene, the organizer of the Powwow, but also ProZ told the "participants" several times that they should remove their names from the list if they are not interested in attending the Powwow. When it officially started at six o'clock we were only three i.e. four (!) people out of about 20 who wanted to come. Needless to say that we were all very disappointed.
Irene booked a table for 20 people in a restaurant and due to the inability of some people to remove themselves from the list she almost had to pay a no-show fee!!! The restaurant actually wanted her to pay one salad and drink for each person booked. Luckily, we were able to avoid this.

I think that everybody on the list who didn't show up (for whatever reason) and didn't inform Irene about it really owes her a big apology. She was a great host and she spent a lot of time preparing this. And we all agreed that she deserves more than 2000 BrowniZ for all the trouble she had.

Anyway, the four of us had a very good time and really enjoyed our "Mini-Powwow". We had dinner in the "Alte Kanzlei" in downtown Stuttgart.
It was a great chance to talk about interesting topics with colleagues. We exchanged business cards, phone numbers, addresses, talked about possible cooperations in the future, translation problems etc. and it felt as if we had known each other for a long time. We left six hours later at midnight and I am sure that we will see each other again. Hopefully very soon.
