- Invaginatia intestinala este un telescopaj al intestinului in lumenul sau, o patrundere patologica a unui segment de intestin in segmentul subiacent, provocand o ocluzie intestinala. Poate fi ileoileala, ileocecala, ileocolica, ileocecocolica sau mai rar colocolica.
Incidenta invaginatiei intestinale este de 5 cazuri la 1000 de copii, cu o ratie baietei:fetite de 3:2.
Incidenta cea mai mare este la copii de 9-24 de luni. - by George C.
