Hi,
Apa and api are used for the greatly-respected and much-loved master and mistress of a large household around 1970. However, I could not find them in a dictionary.
Please let me know the meaning and write them in naskh for me.
All the best,
Simon

آپا ، آپی - Respectful terms of address
These two words are respectful terms of address used for elder (females) and not necessarily used for a mistress. Now a days the most common use of these words is for elder sister but there have been examples previously that these were used for respectfully addressing to any elder female relative (non relative as well) like mother, father or mother's sister (aunt).

آپا / آپی
Both words are used for calling elder sister and are very respectful. Aapa is more common in practical use. Sometimes Aapa is used for the eldest sister and Aapi for second to her, if a youngester has more than one sisters.
