Of course it might also be design work for some aspect of the installation of the heating system, not of the actual heating system itself, e.g. how the pipes should be routed, or how they should be attached to reduce risk of damage in earthquakes .... The world is your oyster!

I wouldn't restrict it to just feasibility studies or any other design phase.

Additionally, it COULD be short for "mission d'étude ET travaux", in which case it's heating design AND installation.

  -> Yes a survey is about the current condition but in preparation for future work whereas a feasibilty study is to check the viability of a project not the conditions on which the work will be carried out. Also there is a reference to 2006.

disagree  B D Finch: Feasibility studies involve future projections. Surveys are about describing the existing. What is a "design of work survey"? Sounds wrong to me.
