Eine Offshore-Bank ist eine Bank mit Sitz an einem Offshore-Finanzplatz (siehe Link). Ein Offshore-Konto ist ein Konto bei einer Offshore-Bank.
Es ist keineswegs illegal, dort ein Konto zu haben. Illegal ist nur, wenn man dem Fiskus die Existenz eines derartigen Kontos verschweigt und die entstandenen Kapitalerträge nicht versteuert.
