Det är en klinisk studie. Exempel ur texten:
- to evaluate whether xxx added to yyy is superior to yyy alone in reducing the risk of index limb revascularization
- an ABI ≤ z.zz or TBI ≤z.zz of the index leg (in the event of non-compressible ankle arteries) for patients without a prior history of limb revascularization on the index leg
- for patients with a prior history of limb revascularization on the index leg
- patients undergoing revascularization for asymptomatic PAD, claudication without functional limitation or major tissue loss of the index leg

Det är alltså Index Leg / Index limb som är termen här. Index syftar på Limb/leg och inte på revascularization. Jag vet att det handlar om det ben som är föremål för inklusion, behandling och uppföljning, men har inte något bra ord för det.
