OCT (optical coherence tomography) method comprises illuminating the sample and collecting light reflected off the sample into a multimodal imaging system. The reflected light may then be separated into an interferometric (OCT) track and tracks for non-interference based other modalities. The OCT track begins by interfering a reflection from a sample with a reference beam to yield an interference pattern.

A non-OCT track sample beam comprising a sample reflection beam, and an OCT track measurement beam comprising a reference reflection beam superimposed with the sample reflection beam; and an imaging unit comprisin.
