Stretch-Bend-Leveling Machine for Sheet Metal
For machines with several bracing points, each individual bracing point can be raised and lowered independently of the others.
In this way the leveling rollers can be particularly deflected at certain points relative to the sheet metal and thereby a given path in the sheet metal can be particularly stressed. In adjusting an individual bracing point, however, the adjacent bracing points on both sides must be simultaneously adjusted in such a way that the individual bracing point is not overloaded.
Je vous remercie de vos conseils bien appréciés !

: I don't believe the kind of 'bracing' we are talking about here is anything to do with 'entretoisement'

Discussion
I have never been interested in the points, but simply in furthering the collective knowledge of our (not-so-)little community in a spirit of co-operation and synergy.
It's thanks to people like you, who don't even do it for the points anymore, but just to maintain a dignity to our profession, that ProZ can retain some semblance of professional resource!
I would imagine these 'braces' as some kind of 'etai' intended to stiffen up / rigidize the assembly — in which case, it makes sense to also give them an adjustable function.
