Mentioned in a building specifications sheet:

- 1 système de sécurité d'ouverture entre porte et pont niveleur pour neutraliser le pont quand la porte est fermée.

Seems to be a sort of (hydraulic) lifting platform, but I'm sure there's a standard term for this. No other mention of it in my document unfortunately.
