Dutch term

fieberweefsel

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Other dust masks
General context: safety manual of a Belgian branch of an international petrochemical company. Maybe the term comes from a brand name?

Specific context:

5.1.1.1. Stofmaskers

I've got quite some doubt about the typo!
Even 'fiberweefselpatroon' would be a very 'remarkable' term in both Dutch and Flemish.
To be on the safe side, and most likely deliver a translation that is superior the original text, I (just happen to be a qualified textile technologist)would recommend using 'fibrous'.

Wishing you lots of success with this tricky chore, I'll be pleased to supply additional comment or info!

fibre tissue

of zoiets.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Fred ten Berge : tissue is not quite the translation for 'weefsel' // zalf!
