Dutch term or phrase: URGENT PLEASE: in uiterst ondergeschikte orde
de verzoekster, IN UITERST ONDERGESCHIKTE ORDE, meent dat zij hoogstens aansprakelijk kan zijn ten belope van BF 000 resp. euro 000.
It appears again later 'dat de aansprakelijkheid van verzoekster hoogstens begroot kan worden op BF 000 of, UITERST ONDERGESCHIKT, euro 000.'
I have no idea at all what it means. Help please - I have a 10 am deadline!

Explanation:
I don't know what timezone you're in, so this may be too late, but please disregard the 2nd answer, because it is absolutely wrong. I think Jarry is in Belgium and probably knows of what he/she speaks. The second answer doesn't even come close. "ondergeschikt" is "minor" or "secundary" according to the electronic Juridisch Lexicon and "uiterst' means "very" or "ultimate".

I tweaked the English a bit to fit in with my sentence structure, but at least your answer made me understand what the intention of the Flemish was.

primarily as is outlined below,

Explanation:
'uiterst' is a way of saying 'strictly'
or 'firstly'.
'ondergeschikt' means 'underlined below' but as this is unlikely to be underlined in reality I have translated it as being 'outlined' below - in order to get across the 'essence' of the message as being important.

in uiterst ondergeschikte orde; uiterst subsidiair
as a final alternative

Explanation:
‘ondergeschikt’ is synonymous with ‘subsidiair’, and is a standard legal phrase

see: Juridisch-Economisch Lexicon:

uiterst subsidiair =
as a final alternative

"ondergeschikt
In a statement of claim, 'ondergeschikt' indicates that the relief sought is subsidiary to some other, previously mentioned relief. For example, in a claim for breach of contract, the first relief sought might be specific performance. You could then also seek relief in the form of damages suffered. This relief would be subsidiary to (ondergeschikt) to the first relief. This subsidiarity also allows you to enter two or more claims, so that if the first is rejected, you have a "plan B". Subsidiair
Volgt altijd op primair; met primair wordt de maximaal haalbare vordering of tenlastelegging aangegeven. Subsidiair wordt de vordering anders geformuleerd als verwacht wordt dat de eerste vordering (primair) niet tot het beoogde resultaat zal leiden. Bijvoorbeeld: primair wordt ten laste gelegd dat verdachte diefstal met geweld heeft gepleegd; subsidiair wordt alleen diefstal ten laste gelegd." (sindy cremer)
