Spinmeister is just a Germanized version of spin master. We have debated "spin" several times before. As I recall, we agreed that people in the "spin" business are specialized in framing events and policies within a particular ideological structure. Their job is to use the facts as raw threads out of which they would weave a tapestry that may not resemble reality. They bend and twist the facts ever so slightly, using verbal tricks of which William Safire himself is a master. He is the spinmeister par excellence.
