Panel Testing Sending stained and/or unstained smears from the reference laboratory
to the peripheral or intermediate laboratory to check proficiency in reading and reporting.
Panel testing is equivalent to the WHO definition of proficiency testing. The term panel testing

This activity (also called ‘panel testing’) consists of distributing pre-prepared stained blood films
in a blinded manner to laboratories performing malaria microscopy for examination. This allows

实验室能力比对验证(Proficiency Testing,PT) 　　是美国病理家学会(College American Pathologists,CAP)组织进行的一种室间质评计划。利用实验室间的比对确定实验室的检测能力。美国国内实验室参加PT的目的主要是为了实验室认证及实验室的执业许可。美国CAP的PT参加实验室虽以国内为主,但也是国际性的,其它国家的实验室只要在每年的10月份规定的时间以前提出申请,并缴足相应的费用,即可参加第二年的有关PT项目。 　　评价方法:主要是看参评实验室对质评样本的测定结果与预期结果的符合程度,根据符合率来判断参评实验室的PT是否合格。对定量测定则稍微复杂一些,一般以靶值±25%或3SD为测定符合范围。评价方法的依据为美国CLIA'88。 　　关于能力比对验证我国也出台了相关标准，见中华人民共和国国家标准 GB／T15483.1－1999“利用实验室间比对的能力验证”
