English term

mama mia or not

English to Chinese Other
I couldn't deny a sneaky, smarting tingle of satisfaction at the thought that maybe, maybe words I'd written had touched another human being, mama mia or not
Please explain mama mia or not and fit it into the sentence. Someone suggested it it Italian meaning, Oh, My God. But it does not fit in with the sentence.

Just for your reference---the literal meaning of "mama mia" in Italien is "my mother", and that is surely a human being. why it has to be "mama mia" here in the sentence, probably just a play of words.

First of all Mama mia in Italian means My mother, not my God. A context is needed here in order to translate and convey the entire meaning
