Change log

Nov 12, 2009 11:37: Christine Andersen changed "Level" from "Non-PRO" to "PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (3): Anna Haxen, Mette Melchior, Christine Andersen

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Mette Melchior Oct 18, 2009:
Agree I hadn't noticed that the question was classified as non-pro, but Anna is right that this ought to be pro. See e.g. this article about what the two categories are for:http://www.proz.com/translation-articles/articles/95/

I don't know whether you can change this yourself or a moderator has to do it.
Anna Haxen Oct 18, 2009:
Non-pro? Dear Jytte, Surely this question, like your previous one and your latest one, should be a pro question. Non-pro is for 'language learners', meaning that you can get your translation by asking virtually any native Dane, which is not the case for these questions.

dræn

Kan du ikke bare oversætte med "dræn" her?

--------------------------------------------------
Note added at 28 mins (2009-10-16 13:38:23 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

"...efter infektion af drænet" - eller er det noget andet end et almindeligt dræn, der er tale om?
