Principles of lean manufacturing, value versus non-value added waste, 5S’s value system mapping, set-up reduction and quick changeover, cellular flow, building a lean culture, total productive maintenance, pull kanban, value/supply chain management, computer numerical control, robotics, group technology, and flexible manufacturing systems are examined.
