Part of a catch of a fishing unit taken incidentally in addition to the target species towards which fishing effort is directed.

ऐसे जीव जो मछलियों को पकड़ने की प्रक्रिया के दौरान जाल में फँस जाते हैं, यद्यपि इनका शिकार करना अभीष्ट-लक्ष्य नहीं होता है। ये अनचाहे शिकार होते हैं।
