PRESS DRAW (Maximum inlet Diameter)
The press draw or maximum inlet diameter is 20mm (0.79”) to 25mm (1.00”) smaller than the container diameter.
This is to ensure that the billet skin does not enter the die and is disposed of in the butt end of the billet.
If the press draw is to big surface issues will be found on the extrusion, also the chance of blisters will considerably increase.
