"In many countries, a “work made for hire” (also known as “corporate authorship”) is—

• work that is authored for an employer by an employee, or
• work specially ordered or commissioned for certain purposes under a written agreement that states it shall be considered a work made for hire.

In the case of a work made for hire, the employer or the person for whom the work was made is the owner of the copyright in the work. In some countries, employee agreements enable the employer to be the owner of the copyright in a work."
