Dieser Satz stammt aus einem Arbeitsvertragsentwurf einer zwischenstaatlichen europäischen Organisation mit Hauptsitz in Deutschland und steht im Paragrafen zur Vergütung. Es handelt sich um ein Festgehalt, soviel ist klar, aber was soll diese ausufernde Erläuterung? Ich nehme schwer an, dass dieser Vertragsentwurf ursprünglich auf Deutsch war, ins Englische übersetzt wurde, und ich nun das Vergnügen habe, ihn ins Deutsche rückzuübersetzen.

Die Übersetzung wurde von einer Zeitarbeitsfirma in Deutschland in Auftrag gegeben und wird wohl für Arbeitnehmer aus Deutschland sein. Was mache ich mit diesem Rattenschwanz von einer Erläuterung? "...includes Gewerbeertragssteuer, national income tax, medical costs and social security contributions" heißt für mich einfach, dass es sich beim genannten Betrag um das Bruttogehalt handelt. Oder wie seht Ihr das? Und kann ich das einfach so verkürzt schreiben? Alles andere wirkt im Deutschen unnötig umständlich.
