soothe Explanation: I would also go with soothe, the word "bercer" has the image of rocking a baby to sleep. " Lull" is another possible verb you could use, but it tends to be used more in the context of "lull someone to sleep" (hence the word "lullaby"), or "lull into a false sense of security", neither of which fit this context well. |
