German term or phrase: Bilanzdatum / Devisenverschiebungen
Bedingt durch die unterschiedlichen Termine für z.B. den Versand der Rechnungen, den Kontostand am Jahresende, das Bilanzdatum usw. treten Devisenverschiebungen auf, die in der Bilanz wiedergegeben werden müssen.
This sentence is taken from a presentation on the annual financial statements of a timeshare holiday club in Spain. The presentation is being given by a representative of the management company at the AGM attended by members of the club. The previous part of the text has mentioned that as members come from different countries, invoices for administration fees are sent out in different currencies and these fees are paid into accounts in different countries. The fees for each currency are calculated on the basis of the British pound.
I hope this provides enough background for you to be able to figure out the sentence quoted. I have singled out the two words mentioned above for translation but any help with the sentence would be appreciated.

2 hrs
balance sheet date/ paraphrase

Explanation:
I have always known 'balance sheet date' (or 'qualifying date') to be the translation of 'Bilanzdatum'.
I would stick my neck out and say that 'Devisenverschiebungen' is incorrectly used here, it should refer to the crime of currency trafficking, but that is obviously not what is meant here.
My version of the sentence would be:
The different dates for e.g. the sending of invoices, year-end statements of account, the balance sheet date etc. mean that discrepencies arise due to exchange rate fluctuation, which must be reflected in the balance sheet.
