Potato extrusions Explanation: The process is one of mashing the potato and mixing it with various disgusting chemicals, vegetable extracts and then sqeezing it through a dye (the extrusion process) set to produce a product of various shapes and lengths which are then fried, packaged and sold to the unsuspecting customer! If your work is for the trade "potato extrusions" should work. If not, the UK Eng often used is "Potato snacks". Other Kudoz members may be aware of official EU rulings on the correct description.
