GARZA - LOADING ARM I've had many assignments with Mexico's state-owned oil company, and I can assure you that, at least in Mexico, "garza" is "loading arm" (which is pretty similar to "crane"...nice train of thought, though).

I think Patricia might be right, "crane" = "grulla" and also "grua" and could be confused with "heron" = "garza" which is similar to a grulla.

This is really a long shot, but garzas = herons, which I often mistake for cranes. Could it be some sort of weird back translation where the person looked up crane (as in a piece of heavy equipment) and found "garza"??

John, I guess nobody can know what this is, perhaps you should ask your source, but if you can't, then you are left to make a note of this in your translation (we are not magicians though many customers want us to be).
