Another eccliastical question from me, once again the answer may be that the English would use the latin term for this idea of books that reveal sacred truths. Any ideas welcome, suggestions for my last question were very helpful.

Think about the other terms starting with "revealed": revealed truth, revealed religion ... I think this one is just as straightforward. The Latin would be "libri revelati", which gives one Google hit, and the words do not occur in the phrase.

The habits/customs of the scholastic past survive, it is true,....
O LA is the really confusing bit, I'm assuming it to be masculine and refer to pasado
or that of the Book of Revelations?????
