Bio
I am a 28 year-old freelancer with 10 years of translating and interpreting experience from English to Spanish and vice versa. For the most part, I enjoy translating and interpreting because it gives me an opportunity to practice and use my language skills, especially in a diversity-lacking geographic area like Bangor, Maine. I enjoy sharing my culture through language and being able to help others all the while. I have spent innumerable hours tutoring youth in Spanish at a local non-profit and have held various positions in academic programs as a Spanish Instructor.
With an academic background in Marketing, I have acquired the knowledge to effectively work with business translations (i.e. contracts, advertisement, message optimization, etc.). I am a member of the Association of Maine Interpreters and Translators, where I regularly network with colleagues and share in best practices, as well as seminars and skill building activities to strengthen my ability to deliver my services with the utmost accuracy and professionalism.
