Under the lime tree
in the copse,
there was the bed for both of us.
There, you might see,
both in full glory,
broken flowers and grass.
At the edge of the woods in a valley,
tandaradei,
so beautiful sang the nightingale.
I had ventured
to the heather,
where where my lover eagerly awaited me.
There I was greeted:
"Oh Beautiful lady"
now I am blissful for eternity.
Oh, did he Kiss me? Yes, countlessly:
tandaradei,
My mouth's so red, don't you see?
There he made, so splendidly,
a bed of flowers just for me.
If someone happens along that same way,
by the roses, he may well
smile silently, espying
tandaradei,
where my head once hath lain.
If someone were to know
that he lay by me
(outside of God !), I would be ashamed.
Just how he touched me,
Never will anyone
uncover that,
If only he and I, and a tiny little bird,
Tandaradei,
Keep it a secret amongst ourselves

Experience
Years of experience: 24. Registered at ProZ.com: Mar 2009.
I recently completed a six-month project as an indexer of German journal articles on PTSD and traumatology for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. My working vocabulary of psychological journals is strong. I have been retained to index English articles. In addition, I am looking to branch out as a German to English freelance translator and copy editor.
I learned German while living in Switzerland from 1992-1995. Past experience includes translation for Four Walls Eight Windows publishing house from 1995-98. I have also kept the German sharp by minoring in German while completing an M.A. in Library Science; I have completed almost all coursework towards a German M.A.
I provide clear, concise, well-written English copy. As a member of a writing team freelancing for the Gale Group, I provided copy and numerous essays on modern literature. I also have an M.A. in English (New York University, 1997).
I am available for freelance translation from German to English (with one revision included in price quote) or to copy edit English texts translated from German to English or French to English.
One thing I have learned in my experiences with languages is to admit when a text is not in my realm of expertise and abilities. You show me the text, and I'll let you know if it is for me.
