Three years as an editor/writer for a Japanese business publication based in New York City and ten more years as a freelance writer/editor. Besides translation business, I am involed in documentary film making.
The body of my work as a freelance translator ranges from automotive sectors to advertising, government, health, general business and media (subtitles and voice over).
Japanese is a delicate language that requires right tone, level of politeness and usage for each targetted reader group. My work focuses on natural flow and accuracy in the right tone.
For automotie sectors only, I have translated nearly 2 million English words to Japanese. My journalism background as an editor/writer/filmmaker makes my translation not only accurate, but also easy to read and makes good sense for readers.
My basic rate is 20 cent (USD) per English words, but it differs a little depending on the technicality of the text. Bulk discount can be considered.
