Source text - Japanese 第1項に定める対価について、本契約当事者のいずれも、工場出荷開始日から6 年間の最終1年間の期間中随時、他の契約当事者全員に書面による通知を行なうことにより、対価の見直しを提案することができる：当該這知の受領後、直ちに本契約当事者は対価の見直しについて協議に入るものとする。本契約圭事者が工場出荷開始日から6年間の期間満了までに対価の見直しについて合意に至らない場合、本条第1項の規定が、本契約当事者が対価について誠実に協議を行なっている間、有効に存続するものとする。対価は、本契約当事者の誠実な協議に基づく合意により決定されるものとし、いかなる場合においても、協議時に存在する経済的および事業的状況（＊＊知財権の実施状況、知的財産権の追加の有無などを含む）の観点から判断して妥当な対価であるものとする。本項により、本契約当事者が合意した対価は、工場出荷開始日から6年間の期間末日の翌日又は、協議妥結時を含む会計年度の各半期（各自4月１日至9月30日および自10月1日至翌年3月31 日）の期首のいずれか遅い方の日から適用されるものとする。
Translation - English 3. Regarding the remuneration put forth in clause 1, either of the Contracting Parties may contact the other Party in writing to request a revision of the remuneration rates anytime during the one year period after five years have passed from Factory Shipping Start Date. Immediately upon receipt of this request, the Contracting Parties will begin revision negotiations. If six full years have passed since the Factory Shipping Start Date and an agreement concerning remuneration revisions has not been reached, then for the duration of negotiations, the provisions set forth in clause 1 of this section shall remain in effect. Remuneration will be decided by the Contracting Parties, and in every case be appropriate with regard to the status of the economy as well as the enterprise (including the status of ******* Intellectual Property and the presence or absence of additional intellectual property). Per this clause, the agreed upon rate of remuneration shall be applied when six years and a day have passed since Factory Shipping Start Date, or at the beginning of the half-year term (4/1 – 9/30, and 10/1 – 3/31 of the following year), whichever is later.
