Source text - French La crise économique mondiale touche tous nos pays d’intervention sans exception. Les pays les plus pauvres, et au sein de ces pays, les populations les plus vulnérables, sont les plus touchés : difficulté à s’approvisionner en matières premières alimentaires, prix disproportionnés par rapport aux salaires, chômage, famines, … sont autant de facteurs qui ont contribué à creuser un fossé encore plus important entre le Nord et le Sud en accentuant des inégalités déjà inacceptables. Les tensions ethniques et politiques en sont ravivées, naturellement.
Translation - English The global economic crisis is affecting all our intervention countries without any exception. The poorest countries, and within these countries, the most vulnerable populations are the most affected: difficulty in obtaining raw food, disproportionate price relative to wages, unemployment, famine, ... are factors that have helped drive a more important trench between the north and the south by accentuating inequalities. The ethnic and political tensions are revived naturally.
