Source text - English Many who have visited the buildings of the Alhambra judge them to be the most beautiful in the world. The ingenious design of the palace and the richness of the ornamentation offer the eye easy pleasures. The Alhambra looks like a Hollywood version of an oriental palace - and, indeed the court of the lions has been used in Ray Harryhausen´s Sinbad films. Though the Alhambra is easy to enjoy, it is much harder to understand. The more closely one studies the functions of its various parts and tries to establish how the palace was inhabited, the more mysterious the buildings and their inhabitants seem. There are limits to what the historian and archaeologist can retrieve.
The history of medieval Spain is, more than anything else,the struggle for supremacy in that peninsula between Muslims and Christians. For centuries after the Arab and Berber invasion in the early eighth century, almost all of Spain and Portugal lay under Muslim rule.
In January 1492 the Muslim Kingdom of Granada, the last Islamic foothold in Spain, surrendered to the armies of the Catholic monarhs Ferdinand and Isabella. Much later,Charles V,on first entering the Alahambra, commented : “Ill-fated was the man who lost all this!”
Columbus was among those who witnessed the surrender of Granada, And 1492 was also the year that he set sail across the Atlantic in the quest for a new route to the Indies. among the people who accompanied him on the voyage on discovery was Luis de Torres, an Arabic-speaking Jew. De Torres was supposed to act as interpreter when they reached the spice and silk markets of the Indies, for in the late fifteenth century Arabic-and Persian -speaking Muslims dominated maritime commerce in Asian waters. therefore when Columbus touched land at what was in fact Cuba, but which he believed to be Japan, Luis de Torres was there beside him to adress the mystified Tainos natives in Arabic.

Source text - Spanish Internet es el nombre que recibe la red de comunicación mundial. Este sistema se basa en el uso de direcciones únicas y de un protocolo de comunicación propio, el TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol /Internet Protocol) . Gracias a él, es posible conectar un gran número de redes de empresas y de instituciones públicas, así como numerosos usuarios independientes.
Internet permite utilizar una gran cantidad de servicios, entre los que se encuentran el World Wide Web, el correo electrónico, los foros de noticias y la compartición de archivos e impresoras.
La mayoría de la gente confunde Internet con el WORLD WIDE WEB, cuando este último es meramente una de las aplicaciones que se basa en Internet. El principio del World Wide Web es la navegación de una página a otra por medio de hipertexto.
El principio en que se basa Internet fue concebido por Robert Kahn y Vint Cerf. El primer nombre que recibió el proyecto Internet fue ARPANET, un proyecto desarrollado por la agencia DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Project Agency). Lanzada en plena guerra fria por Estados Unidos, el objetivo de ARPANET era permanecer operativa en caso de que la URSS lanzase un ataque nuclear y permitir la comunicación entre distintos tipos de redes y ordenadores de diferentes arquitecturas.
Al principio la palabra Internet se utilizaba para hacer referencia al principio de la interconexion de redes (interconnected networks). Sin embargo, la evolución experimentada al cabo de los años, éste se convirtió en el nombre oficial de la red el 1 de enero de 1983.

ARPANET avait pour objectif de demeurer operacionnel dans le cas oú l’URSS lance une attaque nucléaire, et permettre la cummunication entre divers types de réseaux et entre les ordinateurs d’architectures differentes.
Au début, le mot Internet était utilisé pour faire reférence au principe de
l’ interconection des réseaux (Interconnected networks). Mais le 1er janvier 1983 et au bout des années d'une évolution exprimentée, celui ci est devenu le nom officiel du réseau.
