20 years in software project management, both in France and England has given me an in depth view of the technical vocabulary necessary.
Work mostly for agencies on small to medium sized translations
After graduating in Business Information Technology and Informatique from Brighton University and Paris V in 1994, and initially as freelance database developer for 6 years working for blue-chip customers in the UK, I gradually took on the role of business analyst.
After moving to France in 2000, I spent 4 years working for an international PC manufacturer where I gained experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain.
I moved to Brittany in 2004 where I started started my own business, initially in PC maintenance, a contract with an IT services company, moving on in 2009 to provide video transfer services and some teaching part-time in Excel at the local IUT.
I started translating from French to English in around 2012 and gradually specialized in technical translation and later transcription, sub-titling and interpreting.
