Man, as freelance translator, I charge deep discount to all other translation services domestically or internationally. Why? I have low overhead and never pay agency commission (arround 40% ~ 50% mark up).

My translation pair: CHN --> ENG



Fee Schedule:
-------------

RMB 150 (USD 20) per 1000 CHN characters at normal speed
(2 days for 10000 characters, three days for 20000 characters, and so on)

RMB 200 (USD 25)per 1000 CHN characters for express service
(same day delivery for 10000 characters, two-day delivery for 20000 characters i.e. 10000 characters per day)

Oral translation:

RMB 1200 (USD 150) per day for normal hours + transportation or hotel fee to and fro
(Start charge: RMB 600 for half-day or shorter; extra-hour charge: RMB 150 (USD 20) per extra hour. Meals are normally not included.)



Qualifications:

Undergrad degree from UK Guardian top-ten business school, MBA specializing in finance/investment from the US top-fifty business school. Just finished challenging CFA Level III test to rise to be Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Multiple years work experience in Fortune-500 companies in finance and international business.
