Concept of corporate governance
The concept of corporate governance is widely discussed, and the term is used to describe a range of practices and approaches. In this module, the term is defined as the processes, structures, information, and relationships used for directing and overseeing the management of the institution in the best interest of the institution and key stakeholders with a significant interest in the ongoing viability of the company. It is used in a broad sense so that it covers the interests of financial sector supervisors and policyholders as well as investors. If a more narrow interpretation is intended, this is made clear in the text.
Corporate governance is most often thought of in terms of corporate entities. A corporation is a special form of business enterprise that is approved under corporate law or company law. This is distinct from a partnership, personal company, and so forth in that the liabilities of the corporation are limited to the value of the assets of the corporation. The corporation often has the rights and responsibilities of a person under the law, although it is a corporate entity. It is a legal person as distinct from a natural person. A corporation has a board of directors that provides oversight and advice to management on behalf of key stakeholders.

Source text - English PRE-EXISTING CONDITION (APPLICABLE TO NON-HMO MEDICAL PLANS)
Non-HMO medical plans contain a Pre-existing condition limitation clause. Pre-Existing condition means a condition for which medical advice, diagnosis, care, or treatment was recommended or received within a six-month period prior to your coverage under this plan. If an individual has a pre-existing condition no payment will be made for services or supplies for the treatment of a pre-existing condition. The pre-existing condition exclusion does not apply to pregnancy nor to a child who is enrolled in the plan within 31 days after birth, adoption, or placement for adoption. This exclusion may last up to six months from your first day of coverage or, if you were in a waiting period, from the first day of your waiting period. However, you can reduce the length of this exclusion period by the number of days of your prior creditable coverage. Most prior health coverage is creditable coverage and can be used to reduce the pre-existing condition exclusion if you have not experienced a significant break in coverage. The maximum allowable break in coverage is 180 days if your prior coverage was provided through an employer and ended because your employment (or the person's employment through which you had this coverage) ended, the availability of coverage through employment or sponsored by an employer has terminated, or an employer's contribution toward health coverage has terminated. For prior coverage that was not provided through an employer, such as individual coverage or coverage through a government program such as Medicaid, the maximum allowable break in coverage is 63 days. To reduce the six-month exclusion period, please provide a copy of any certificates of creditable coverage you have. There is no time limit within which you must provide a certificate in order to receive credit for your prior coverage.
Translation - Spanish CONDICIÓN PREEXISTENTE (NO APLICABLES A PLANES HMO)

Translation - English ON DEMAND COMPUTING SERVICES IN THE COLOMBIAN STATE
1. INTRODUCTION
EVOLUTION OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL LINE
The end of the 20th Century was marked, in technological terms, by the eagerness of organizations to have enough technological infrastructures that guarantee an acceptable provision of services, as well as to have the best way available to be connected with the rest of the world. Is in this way that they appropriated of enormous resources to have local data networks, connectivity between headquarters and corporative data centers, with a great computing capacity, to cover the increasing demand of services.
With all the appropriate capacity, the organizations’ priority is focus in understanding its customers, internal and external users’ requirements. In this way the help desk and its subsequent developments, call centers and contact centers appear, which not only enable the registration and control of the requests related with the service, but also begin the learning process about the environment surrounding them.
Development continues with tools that enable management and the follow up of the actions and responsibilities. It is not understandable an organization that technically grows, that attends its customers, knows its needs, but its internal organization is chaotic. Concepts such as work flow and internal processes management, as well as continuous improvement appear and make the technological line pay attention to optimization and internal learning.
COMPUTING UNIT
The traditional public utilities companies had find units to quantify its provision and therefore its pricing. For example, in electric energy, it is the Kilowatt per hour (KW/H); in water supply service, it is the cubic metre (m3). Some mobile telephone operator companies had adopted transmitted or received Kilobyte (KB) as their quantifying unit, related with internet browsing.
Defining a similar unit to offer computing services can be more complex. It must be taken into account variables such as the technology that want to offer, service levels needed or technical and administrative staff related to a stable operation. In this sense, mathematic and financial complex models, that will take years of study previous the implementation, can be proposed .
For Colombia, the arising state policies toward the Online Democracy, as well as the established terms to fulfill it, created an urgent need to have computing traversal services. It was gestate the idea of a network that will offer the exchange of State’s information by means of standards, enough processing capacity and the required support. With this idea arise, both the Governmental Intranet and the question of how to offer its services. Although legislation and policies mentioned shortened the time for definitions, a quick initial, but deep analysis, allow concluding that the first variable governed on-demand is processing.
