The Chairman of Delhi Transport has been delclaring that the service in Delhi would not be laging behing the bus services in Bejing and Paris. Accordingly,nobody will have to wait for bus for more than six minutes, that nobody will have to face the crowed in buses and that many kinds of facilities will be make available to the people. But this announcement has proved to be hollow and meaningless. It is only a sign of false vanity, not to speak of Bejing and Paris, if they are able to bring Delhi transport to the level of Mumbai standard, the people of Delhi will offer them thanks thousand time. | Translation - Hindi
दिल्ली परिवहन के अध्यक्ष दिल्ली की बस सेवा को बीजिंग और पेरिस की बस सेवा की तरह बनाने की घोषणा करते आ रहै हैं। वे कहते हैं कि किसी भी यात्री को छः मिनट से ज्यादा इंतजार नहीं करना पड़ेगा, बसों में भीड़-भाड़ कम होगी और उन्हें अनेक प्रकार की सुविधाएं मिलेंगी। यह घोषणाएं केवल हवाई-घोषणाएं बनकर रह गई हैं और वास्तविकता के धरातल पर साकार नहीं हो पाई हैं। बीजिंग और पेरिस तो बहुत दूर की बात है, यदि दिल्ली की परिवहन व्यवस्था मुम्बई जैसी भी हो जाएं तो जनता उनका कोट-कोटि धन्यावद करेगी। |
