I am graduated in the university of Khartoum ( Sudan ), faculty of Agriculture (1975). I worked for a couple of years at the Agricultural Bank of Sudan.
Since the year 1978 I am working in my private business, in farming, home- made industry, and in trading.
Beside my work I have my hobbies which I enjoy practicing and also generate money through. I like writing articles to the press, writing and translating books. I also translate any subject that I find interesting, then I send it to be published.
I have translated some academic text books in chemistry, zoology, botany, geography and History for some English secondary high schools in Sudan.
The books and articles that I wrote are in Arabic. They are in various fields, some in economics, in development , and some in politics and History.
Being well acquainted to the world wide web I became of some importance to companies dealing with export and import business in the Arab world and in Sudan in particular, where I used to provide them with their need of information in various trading activities and bring them the information translated to Arabic.
So Translation is a career I like, and practice for personal satisfaction. I wasn't in need to learn translation in a regular study in order to practice this job. All I need is to understand the subject; and being a bookworm, I am enabled to understand a wide range of sciences and a variety of knowledge..
Studying Agriculture for 5 years at the University of Khartoum had been of great advantage. In agriculture which is a very rich, diverse study, you come to learn wide range of sciences such as biochemistry, botany, anatomy, histology, soil sciences, geology, economics, planning, marketing, sociology, engineering, animal husbandry, nutrition, food preservation, environment, ecology, forestry and general agriculture.
Now I am preparing feasibility studies and doing translation in a private consultancy office. |
