After completing British Civilisation and Renaissance Studies degrees in France, I moved to Scotland and started working as a language assistant in Heriot-Watt university.
This is where I decided to add another string to my bow, by completing a number of modules from the translation and interpreting MSc courses offered.
Since that, I have stayed on as teaching fellow and started working as a freelance conference interpreter and translator.
This combination of activities keeps me on my toes, and has turned me into a bit of a stickler when it comes to my two languages (French and English ... and Glaswegian, to an extend !). I'm working on adding Italian as one of my passive languages, and I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting areas of expertise. |
