Source text - German Gemäß den Bestimmungen des Artikels 17 des Tarifvertrages für VRP, der durch den Zusatz Nr. 4 vom 2. Januar 1982 verändert wurde, behält sich die Gesellschaft jedoch das Recht vor, bei Änderung des Gebietes oder der Kundschaft in den sechs Monaten vor der Übermittlung der Vertragskündigung das Wettbewerbsverbot, dem der Arbeitnehmer unterliegt, auf den Bereich und/oder die Kundschaft zu übertragen, die ihm vor der Änderung übertragen waren.
Als Gegenleistung für diese Verpflichtung sowie für die gesamte Dauer ihrer Wirksamkeit erhält der Arbeitnehmer eine monatliche Sonderentschädigung in Höhe des in Artikel 17 des vorgenannten Tarifvertrages für VRP festgesetzten Betrages.
Die Gesellschaft behält sich jedoch das Recht vor, gemäß den Bestimmungen des Artikels 17 des vorgenannten Tarifvertrages für VRP den Arbeitnehmer von der Wettbewerbsbeschränkung zu befreien oder die Dauer der Beschränkung zu verkürzen. In diesem Fall entfällt die Entschädigung oder sie wird verkürzt, anteilig zur Dauer ihrer Wirksamkeit.
Translation - French En conformité avec les stipulations de l'article 17 de la convention collective des VRP, modifiée par l'avenant n° 4 du 2 janvier 1982, la société se réserve le droit, en cas de modification du secteur géographique ou de la clientèle dans les six mois précédant la notification de la résiliation du contrat, de reporter l'obligation de non-concurrence du représentant sur le secteur géographique et/ou la clientèle dont il avait la charge avant la modification.
En contrepartie de cette interdiction et pour toute la durée de sa validité, il sera versé au représentant une indemnité mensuelle exceptionnelle à hauteur du montant défini par l'article 17 de la convention collective des VRP susmentionnée.
La société se réserve néanmoins le droit, en conformité avec les stipulations de l'article 17 de la convention collective des VRP mentionnée ci-dessus, de libérer le représentant de l'obligation de non-concurrence ou d'en écourter la durée. Dans ce cas, il ne sera versé aucune indemnisation ou qu'une indemnisation partielle au pro rata de la durée écourtée de l'interdiction.

I am a French native speaker with a long experience in translation (German and English to French). For four years, I was an in-house translator for one of Germany’s biggest system house and IT reseller (marketing documents, product descriptions, data sheets, correspondance, investor relations, contracts and other legal documents). I have been doing freelance translation for three years now (general, IT and legal). As an experienced translator, I feel comfortable with the stylistic demands of marketing texts as well as the high specialization of legal documents (as law is my original background). In order to increase terminology uniformity and speed up handling, I work with Across Personal Edition and Lingotek as CAT-tools.
I am currently working as a full-time quality manager for a high-end medical language service provider. As a result, I am fully aware of the importance of constant quality, absolute deadline compliance and effective client-supplier communication.
In my capacity as PM and QAM, I seldom have the chance to translate. However, as translation remains a passion to me, I also offer freelance translations. Your projects will be handled in the evenings (CET; abt. 100 lines/900 words) and weekends (abt. 400 lines/3.600 words). I shall be glad to take a translation test if you so require.
