My name is Sam Gordon, and I have just completed an MA in Translation with the University of Bristol.

Having gained plenty of work experience at various levels of the wine trade in the UK, France and Argentina, I have decided to set myself up as a freelance translator, interpreter and copywriter specialising in wine. My language pairs are French and Spanish into English, and I am based in the UK.

I already have experience in this field thanks to translating the websites of two French vineyards. I have also translated large extracts from a bestselling book on wine by the well-known French journalist and literary critic Bernard Pivot.

It is my love of language and of wine, and of the wine traditions of the French, Spanish and English speaking world, that has led me into this field, and I am really excited about progressing with the project. I am in the process of developing a website and carrying out a lot of preliminary research in the hope of launching before Christmas 2010.
