Bio
Brazilian-born, lived in São Paulo until I was 13, then moved to the US with family and lived there for 18 years. High school graduate from Southampton, NY. A self-learner, with various interests, I worked in fine-dining restaurants in Long Island, New York, from 1994 to 2008. Held several positions, including waiter, bartender, expediter and manager.

Since I came back to Brazil, in January 2009, I have been teaching English at the world-renowned Berlitz School of Languages, and have been translating texts, specializing in marketing, academic and financial texts, and in the areas of food/drink, sports/leisure and tourism. Work both POR-ENG, and ENG-POR pairs, but I feel more comfortable with POR-ENG. Journalism graduate from UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), and completed translation course from Brasillis in Ipanema.

I could provide you with samples of jobs I've performed. Thanks,
Icaro Bagolan
