Experienced Freelance Translator
Italian to English

English copy-editing and copy-writing

Twenty years' experience (and counting) as a full-time, professional translator, with extensive experience—and a preference for—academic, cultural, and art texts, where my academic background, strong writing skills and nuanced understanding of my working languages make a difference in crafting effective and compelling translations.

I also have extensive experience in corporate and business translation, for companies interested in quality translations that serve the real needs of their investors and can make an impact on their markets.

More recently, I have gained experience in translating fiction—and have found I have a flair for it! It is a line of work I enjoy and am hoping to expand further.

Being a professional means I stick to my areas of specialization, where I have the skills and knowledge to produce quality translations. If you need to translate medical, technical (engineering, manufacturing, and the like), or scientific texts, I am sorry to say that I am not the translator for you.

When I am not translating, I am most likely to be either playing tennis, reading a book or a magazine, sewing, or out and about.
