My professional experience is vast and varied. I have been a language, quality management and project management professional both employed and as a freelance.
My work history starts as a language consultant and technical author in small to medium-sized firms, contractors of large international companies. For 12 years I was then employed by one of Europe's high-tech and aerospace giants-- first in program management on international contracts and then in program and production quality assurance.
All along I was able to continue to be active as a translator and documentation specialist.
My educational background starts with a high school degree in electronics, but subsequently my studies and training are largely in the same areas as
my work experience: languages, project management, business
management, quality management and methods, organizations theory and
I bring my work experience and professional knowledge to my translation work. This reflects both on the quality of my work and my work methodology, as well as on the subjects and topics I can confidently deal with. My personal interests range through many subjects from sciences and humanities alike, though. So, translation opportunities in more faraway fields are welcome and the final work will comply to the same rigorous standards as any other.
