I am a native English speaker with over five years of both oral and written interpretation experience with the Spanish language. I have been fluent in Spanish for about six years and have experience in over ten Latin American countries, providing me with strong knowledge of different regional dialects and and a broad-based vocabulary. Most recently I worked for two years in Guatemala where I translated documents and interpreted for educational delegations.

I pride myself on accuracy in translation work as well as high levels of cultural sensitivity. I have bachelor's degrees with honors in Latin American Studies, Sociology, and International Political Economy, as well as multiple experiences living and working abroad that provide me with anthropological and linguistic tools to pay special attention to the cultural context and meaning of texts.

Originally from Washington DC, I currently find myself in Durham, North Carolina studying film at Duke University's Center for Documentary Studies. I have an extremely flexible schedule that can respond to all your urgent and last-minute needs.
