Source text - German Insgesamt liefert die Radeon HD 6970M eine beeindruckende Vorstellung ab. AMDs altes Top-Modell, die Radeon HD 5870, wird über alle Benchmarks hinweg um durchschnittlich 50% abgehängt – eine beachtliche Leistung. Sogar Nvidia´s bärenstarke GeForce GTX 480M hat merklich das Nachsehen, 33% heißt es zugunsten der Radeon HD 6970M. Einzig an die GeForce GTX 485M kommt die AMD-GPU nicht ganz heran, Nvidia´s neues High-End-Modell rechnete im Test knapp 12% schneller. Da die Benchmarks der GeForce GTX 485M allerdings in Kombination mit einem pfeilschnellen Sandy Bridge Prozessor entstanden, muss dieser Rückstand nicht das Ende der Fahnenstange bedeuten. Mit entsprechender CPU könnte die Radeon HD 6970M durchaus noch zur GeForce GTX 485M aufschließen.
Abseits von der reinen Leistung ist vor allem der – im Vergleich zur Radeon HD 5870 - gesunkene Energiebedarf im Idle-Betrieb und der erweiterte Featureumfang zu loben. Der UVD3 Video Decoder entlastet die CPU erheblich, per HD3D ist der Nutzer zudem für die dritte Dimension gerüstet. Jedoch scheint uns die Radeon HD 6970M eher für das 17-Zoll Format geeignet: das 15.6-zöllige Eurocom W860CU Cougar operierte bezüglich Temperatur, Lautstärke und Stromversorgung an der Grenze des Machbaren respektive Zumutbaren.
Nach Abschluss aller Tests ergibt sich folgendes Urteil: Anspruchsvolle Gamer erhalten mit der Radeon HD 6970M eine äußerst potente Grafikkarte, die die meisten Spiele in hohen Auflösungen und maximalen Details flüssig darstellen kann. Nur bei wenigen Ausnahmen wie Metro 2033 oder Crysis sollte man es für eine ruckelfreie Wiedergabe nicht allzu sehr mit den Grafikeinstellungen übertreiben. Teure, stromhungrige und fehleranfällige Dual-GPU-Systeme (z.B. GeForce GTX 460M SLI) lohnen sich indes nur für absolute Performance-Enthusiasten, die meisten Gamer werden mit einer Radeon HD 6970M oder GeForce GTX 485M perfekt bedient.
Translation - English All in all, the Radeon HD 6970M shows an impressive performance. AMD's old top model, the Radeon HD 5870, is surpassed in every benchmark by about 50%—a testament to the new model's formidable performance. Even Nvidia's rugged GeForce GTX 480M winds up a whopping 33% behind the Radeon HD 6970M. Only the GeForce GTX 485M manages to top AMD's new hard hitter. Nvidia's new crème de la crème processed data almost 12% faster. Since the GeForce GTX 485M was coupled with a speedy Sandy Bridge processor, the Radeon's shortfall here is not written in stone. Paired wit a similar CPU, the Radeon HD 6970M might actually measure up to the GeForce GTX 485M in the end.
Besides that, the new model's reduced energy consumption in idle mode as well as its extended list of features—compared to the older Radeon HD 5870—are praiseworthy. The Video Decoder (UVD3) relieves the CPU considerably, and HD3D even allows for the playback of 3D material. However, the Radeon HD 6970M seems better fit for the 17" format: the 15.6" Eurocom W860CU Cougar teetered on the edge of bearable temperature, system noise and power supply during testing.
After completing all tests, the verdict is: demanding gamers will find the Radeon HD 6970M to be an extremely powerful graphics card that can smoothly run most games in a high resolution with maximum graphics settings. Only when dealing with few games like Metro 2033 or Crysis, you shouldn't go too crazy with the detail settings if you want a fluid refresh rate. Expensive, energy-consuming, error-prone dual-GPU systems (e.g. GeForce GTX 460M SLI) are only worth it if for those accepting nothing less than perfection. Most gamers, however, will find themselves perfectly accommodated by a Radeon HD 6970M or a GeForce GTX 485M.

Source text - German Das Dell Inspiron duo Convertible hinterlässt bei uns einen geteilten Eindruck. Als Netbook bietet es durchaus einige Qualitäten, aber als Tablet mangelt es dem Gerät an einem guten Bildschirm und ausgefeilter Software. Leider ist es damit nicht der erhoffte Traum-Hybrid aus Netbook und Tablet, wobei uns die Idee hinter dem Drehmechanismus im Rahmen dennoch überzeugt.
Die gute Verarbeitung, angenehme Haptik der gummierten Oberflächen sowie die Eingabegeräte muss man dem Gerät zu Gute halten. Der Schnittstellenumfang ist mit drei Ports zu begrenzt und das optionale Dell Inspiron duo Audio Dock hilft in vielen Situationen leider nur wenig und kostet zudem einen stolzen Aufpreis. Das Dock lässt sich nur im Tablet-Betrieb nutzen, das Anschließen eines externen Displays ist dennoch nicht möglich. Die größten Schwachstellen als Tablet sind das durchschnittliche und vor allem blickwinkelabhängige LC-Display mit glänzender Oberfläche und die hackelige Dell duo Stage UI Software. Dahinter verbirgt sich ein netter Ansatz, aber als Programm über Windows 7 reagiert es sehr träge und der integrierte Bewegungssensor setzt Befehle zu langsam um. Hier gewinnen eindeutig reine Tablets mit optimierten Betriebssystemen und Multi-Tasking Funktionalität.
Die Emissionen sowie die Ergonomie können uns überzeugen, aber ein Opfer dieses Vorhabens war der Akku. Dieser wurde fest integriert und ist mit nur 29 Wattstunden (4 Zellen) vergleichsweise klein. Eine Laufzeit von maximal 5 Stunden ist nicht sehr berauschend und jedes Netbook für knapp 300 Euro bietet ohne Probleme die doppelten Laufzeiten. Viele Geräte bieten ihn nicht, aber viele Nutzer wollen ihn haben: den Broadcom CrystalHD Decoder. Das Convertible hat ihn ab Werk integriert und HD-Wiedergabe ist somit kein Problem für das Inspiron duo.
Summa summarum eine innovative Idee, die Potential aufweist, aber auch Schwächen, die durch reine Netbooks beziehungsweise Tablets besser gelöst werden. Mit einem Einstiegspreis von 549 Euro (250 GByte, UVP) liegt das Gerät eindeutig im Premium-Segment, wobei zwei einzelnen Geräte schnell mehr kosten können. Eine Neuauflage mit IPS-Panel, mehr Schnittstellen, einer besseren Laufzeit und einer Weiterentwicklung der Dell duo Stage UI könnte aber durchaus punkten.
Translation - English The Dell Inspiron duo Convertible shows an overall patchy performance. As a notebook it performs as expected, but as a tablet lacks a good screen and optimized software. It's, therefore, unfortunately not the hoped-of dream hybrid of laptop and tablet, although we found the flip-screen mechanism to be as practical as it is flashy.
The good craftsmanship, comfortable feel of the rubberized case surface as well as the keyboard and touchpad all go to the duo's credit. The variety of ports is limited to three and the optional Dell Inspiron duo Audio Dock helps little in most situations and comes at a hefty price. The Dock can only be used in tablet mode and even so the device can't be hooked up to an external monitor. The biggest downsides about using the duo as a tablet is the average LCD screen with narrow viewing angles, reflective screen and the choppy performance of Dell duo Stage UI software. The tablet interface looks nice on the surface, but the program run by Windows 7 frustrates with its delayed reactions and the tilt sensor takes to long to respond to changes in orientation. In this case, the duo is no match for conventional tablets with an optimized operating system and multi-tasking capability.
The low level of noise and effectiveness of the cooling system complement the quality and comfort of the case, but the battery isn't quite up to muster. The battery has a low capacity of 29 watt-hours (4 cells). A maximum battery life of five hours isn't exactly dazzling and every netbook going for 300 Euro can easily go twice as long. Few devices have it, though most users want it: the Broadcom CrystalHD Decoder. The Convertible comes standard with the HD decoder.
All in all, an innovative idea with potential but also weak points, in which areas simple non-convertible notebooks and tablets outshine the duo. At an entry-level price of 549 Euro (250 GB, UVP) the device falls into the high-end category, although two individual devices can easily be more expensive. A new release with an IPS screen, more ports, longer battery life and a further developed Dell duo Stage UI can score some big points.

Source text - German 4.1. Einflussfaktoren auf den Kursabbruch
Der erste zu untersuchende Ergebnisindikator erfasst, ob eine Teilnehmerin/ein Teilnehmer, die/der vom AMS der arbeitsmarktpolitischen Bildungsmaßnahme zugewiesen wurde, diese Maßnahme abgebrochen hat oder nicht (für die Operationalisierung der Variablen siehe Teilka-pitel 3.3). Diese Variable charakterisiert Teilnehmer individuell und ist daher der Ebene 1 des vorliegenden Modells zugeordnet. Die in das Endmodell integrierten Charakteristika der Teil-nehmer, Kurse und Bildungseinrichtungen erklären rund 36,7% der Varianz des Merkmals Kursabbruch (ja | nein). Wie bereits einleitend ausgeführt, konnten keine signifikanten Effekte wettbewerblicher Beschaffungspolitik auf die Ergebnisqualität ermittelt werden. Dagegen be-einflussen folgende Merkmale der Teilnehmer signifikant die Wahrscheinlichkeit des Kursab-bruchs (vgl. Tabelle 4 siehe S. 17), signifikante Effekte sind fett hervorgehoben):
• Ein Kursabbruch ist bei Teilnehmern wahrscheinlicher, die keinen oder einen Pflichtschulabschluss als höchsten Schul- oder Ausbildungsabschluss aufweisen. Für Teilnehmer mit max. Pflichtschulabschluss erhöht sich die Relation der Wahrscheinlichkeit, den Kurs ab-zubrechen, zur Wahrscheinlichkeit, den Kurs zu beenden, um den Faktor 1,8.
• Teilnehmer der Altersgruppe 19 bis 21 Jahre und in der Altersgruppe 30 bis 39 Jahre beenden einen Kurs eher vorzeitig als Teilnehmer, die 40 Jahre und älter sind.
• Ein nachweislicher Effekt geht auch von der Dauer der Arbeitslosigkeit aus. Die Wahr-scheinlichkeit, dass Teilnehmer den Kurs abbrechen, ist bei Personen, die bereits längere Zeit arbeitslos sind, höher als bei Teilnehmern, die weder langzeitbeschäftigungslos noch übertrittsgefährdet sind.
• Für Teilnehmer mit deutscher Muttersprache ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, den Kurs abzubrechen, signifikant geringer als für Teilnehmer mit anderen Muttersprachen.
Translation - English 4.1. Factors Influencing Withdrawal from Course
The first result indicator to be analysed designates whether or not the participant successfully
completed the course assigned by the AMS; (for the operationalization of the variables, see
section 3.3.) This variable characterizes participants individually and is therefore assigned
to level 1 in this model. The characteristics of the participants, courses, and educational
institutions integrated in the final model explain ca. 36.7% of the variance for the result indicator course withdrawal (yes/no.) As previously mentioned, no significant effects on
outcome quality could be traced to the competitive allocation procedures. However, the
following characteristics of participants influenced significantly the probability of course
withdrawal (comp. Table 4, see p.19, significant effects are marked in bold):
• Participants, whose highest educational degree was either at the compulsory level or none,
are more likely to withdraw from their course. For participants, whose highest educational
degree is at the compulsory level, the probability of course withdrawal compared to the
probability of course completion increases by a factor of 1.8.
• Participants of the age group 19 to 21 years old and of the age group 30 to 39 years old
are more likely to complete a course earlier than expected than those who are 40 years
old20 and above.
• A documentable effect stems from the duration of unemployment. Participants, who are
long-term unemployed are more likely to withdraw from their course than those who are
neither on the brink of long-term unemployment nor long-term without occupation.
• Participants with German as their native language are significantly less likely to withdraw
from their course than those with another native language.
