I am a seasoned international executive with significant experience in Japan, where I have lived and worked for 15 years. I also have extensive experience in Taiwan, South Korea, and China. I have built and led teams and held P&L responsibility over 10+ M budgets and been an active member of senior executive teams.
In my last role, I built an organization from scratch to over 100 employees, running the most profitable business unit in a multinational patent translation company. I have in-depth knowledge related to management, marketing, sales, accounting, HR, and workplace standards in the major Asia markets and speak, read, and write (type) Japanese at a near-native level.
Of particular note, I have a broad knowledge of patents, and a thorough understanding of foreign filing. I have an extensive network of IP professionals throughout the US, Germany, Japan, China, Taiwan, and South Korea. I have also lectured frequently on patent prosecution, treaties, administration, and spend optimization. I have also authored and published multiple articles on patent filing and strategy in Asia. I have translated more than 2000 patents over the course of my career and managed the translation of thousands more. |
