Experience
Years of experience: 16. Registered at ProZ.com: Mar 2011.
I am a fully qualified and experienced translator/interpreter. In 2009, I graduated from Aston University (UK) with a second upper class honours degree in French and German. In 2011, I completed a post-graduate course in interpreting at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, with a Polish<>English combination.
In May 2011, I subsequently took up employment with Copa-Cogeca in Brussels, Belgium, where I have been working ever since. My daily tasks include translating internal and external documentation such as technical and financial reports, press releases, minutes, agendas, etc. and interpreting internal meetings. Working for Copa-Cogeca allowed me to become familiar with EU-related topics ranging from agriculture, the environment, energy and climate, to EU-policies and the functioning of the European Union and its institutions.
In addition, since October 2008 I have been working as a freelance translator and between October 2008 and June 2009 I was a public service interpreter in Birmingham, interpreting mostly in medical settings.
Moreover, due to an often heavy workload I have increased my efficiency and organisational skills. I am a competent SDL Trados 2014 and MS Office user.
