I have a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Technical Interpreter's Degree from Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University in Moscow, Russia (confirmed by the World Education Organization in New York).
In Russia my most interesting job was being a Research and Development Engineer doing finite element modeling and strength analysis of automobile structures at the Moscow car factory AZLK. The software used were American PATRAN-G and NASTRAN. I translated the software user manuals into Russian under a separate contract with the CAD/CAM Department management. I also taught other engineers how to use the software.
I have a long technical and business experience in interpreting and translating. In Russia I worked for Indian companies Menon and Maul Eastern Ltd. and several Russian businesses.
In the US I translated business paperwork for a Hawaii based wholesale company Carbon Composites and legal documents for attorneys, mostly Ramon J. Ferrer, Esq., Maui, Hawaii.
Since June 2010 I have been also doing interpreting in medical field, social services and at educational institutions.
I have been living in the USA since January 1993. My personal interest is in psychology and psychiatry. |
