Experience
Years of experience: 5. Registered at ProZ.com: Jul 2011.
Bachelor of Science, Neuroscience; Bachelor of Philosophy, Anthropology.
I was born and raised in the United States but in a German/English bilingual household. Having attended primary and high-school/Gymnasium in both countries, and now that I study Medicine in Germany, I have been translating my papers and projects since the beginning of my formal education.
I have also been active in research from the time that I began at University in 2002, and wrote two theses based on original research that I conducted in each field. My findings in the field of neuroanatomy were published and presented in several articles and posters. The details of my education and research-experience can be found in my CV (link).
Growing up in a bilingual environment and my background in research and clinical medicine allow me to not only specialize the language of the translation, but also critically examine the content and style of the texts that I work with. My objective with this work is to facilitate the communication of findings, treatment protocols and all other forms of information and to make a contribution, however small, to the global advancement of science and medicine.
