Bio
EN↔PL Translator with a soft spot for stories, strange humor, and cultural nuance. My fascination with language started unexpectedly — with Cartoon Network US airing on Polish television in the 1990s. Listening to everyday English as a child helped me absorb the rhythm, humor, and cultural nuances of the language naturally long before formal education entered the picture. Apparently, I used to switch between Polish and English mid-sentence as a kid — which, in hindsight, probably explains a lot. For over a decade, I’ve worked across literary translation, audiovisual media, game localization, subtitling, and creative adaptation, helping English and Polish texts sound natural rather than merely translated. My experience ranges from novels, poetry, and marketing copy to subtitles, localization projects, and transcription review for international clients and agencies. I’m especially drawn to projects involving pop culture, storytelling, humor, emotional tone, and audience engagement. I believe good translation should do more than communicate meaning — it should feel alive, readable, and culturally intuitive. Selected projects include: • PL→EN translation of an adult party card game using wordplay, cultural adaptation, and informal English to preserve humor and tone; • EN→PL translation of a children’s poem addressing personal safety and harassment awareness while maintaining rhythm, accessibility, and emotional sensitivity; • PL→EN translation of a photography ebook for wedding photographers covering technical equipment, lighting, and client communication. Services include: • Translation & localization • Editing & proofreading • MTPE (light/heavy) • Subtitling & subtitle QA • Linguistic QA (LQA) • Transcription review • Game localization • Transcreation Experienced in AI-assisted workflows, CAT tools, subtitle editing software, and quality assurance processes for media, entertainment, marketing, and corporate content.
