Half Spanish and French-Canadian, yet born American, its natural that Samantha became interested in language and culture at a very young age. When she was ten, she decided to harness those interests by learning Spanish on her own. Her family had always spoken english at home with a small mix of French and Spanish along the way, but she wanted to know more. Fourteen years later, her decision has lead her to be fully fluent in the Spanish language. She attended Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC under the Community Spanish Interpreter program. She lives at home with her husband and five year old son, where the family speaks a mix of Spanish and English on a daily basis. She has used her skills to translate Bible studies for her local church, family and friend's visits to the doctor, songs, books, and much more. What she loves the most about speaking another language is the ability to help others see the same world in their own language without limitations. |
